Michael Mercanti and Chef Scott Bailey teamed up to create the recently opened Yolanda's Spuntino Casa. Located in a historical building from 1840 on the Bronte Harbour, Yolanda's focus is homemade, Italian “spuntini,” meaning snacks. Inspired by memories of fantastic food and drink prepared by Mercanti's grandmother Yolanda, the space and menu are designed to share with friends. The warm, charming “Casa” was designed with the help of Castor Design and houses Chef Bailey's modern small plate takes on classic Italian dishes like Porchetta Mac & Cheese, Fried Artichokes and Stuffed Olives, accompanied by a private label wine list, created by wine director Cassandra Mosher, featuring vino from various regions of Italy that are not available in the LCBO.
