COMO Hotels and Resorts' first US property, Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach is now open. The 74-room hotel, located in the heart of the city's famous Art Deco district, occupies an original 1930s building with updated designs by Italian designer Paola Navone. Navone preserved the building's heritage and contrasted it with an urbane, contemporary spirit using shades of peppermint green and dusky gray with surfaces of cool white marble and shining chrome. The hotel has direct access to the beach and a private swimming pool and COMO Shambhala Urban Escape Spa. The hotel's headline restaurant, The Traymore, will showcase Floridian seafood with an emphasis on fine dining and traditional service while the hotel's second restaurant will offer a more relaxed poolside experience featuring wood-oven pizzas. If you prefer to relax with drink in hand, The Met Bar will offer premium spirits and Champagnes with the rooftop COMO Shambhala juice bar providing a calm space to revitalize yourself post-workout or spa treatment.
