Family-owned Canadian fashion retailer Simons is coming to Square One in Mississauga, with a grand opening planned for March 17 marking its first foray into the Ontario market. The 175-year-old company offers a fashion forward collection of its own private label for both men and woman along with national and discovery brands from around the world including Twik, Icí´ne, Brave, I.Fiv5, Miiyu, Djab and more. The two-storey, 110,000 sq. ft. location will sit on the north side of the mall with the main entrance featuring a light-filled atrium and a show-stopping set of floating stairs that lead to the men's and women's departments respectively. Along with a variety of impressive fashions will be Simons' new café concept, íˆve. A modern take on a French bistro, the menu will include hot and cold and sweet and savoury treats with a terrace that can be enjoyed during the warmer months. “Square One is an ideal centre for our entry into Ontario and the GTA,” says CEO Peter Simons. “We are on a quest to inspire and delight shoppers with distinctive fashions and a captivation retail space, and we are confident the Mississauga store achieves this goal.”
