KitchenAid announced major news with the release of a new version of the iconic countertop device: The Artisan Mini Stand Mixer (shown above at left, next to the Classic and Proline mixers). The new mini version of the stand mixer offers the same power and performance as the Classic Stand Mixer but stands at 20 per cent smaller and 25 per cent lighter and features 3.5-quart capacity. Like the larger models the Artisan Mini includes a flat beater, wire whip and dough hook and accommodates all optional hub-based attachments. The Artisan Mini Stand Mixer is available in Countour Silver, Empire Red, Guava Glaze, Honeydew, Hot Sauce, Matte Black, Matte Grey, Matte White, Orange Sorbet and Twilight Blue for $550 at Hudson's Bay, Home Outfitters and Best Buy.
