When it comes to organic, Filsinger's Organic Foods has a history. Founded in Ayton, Ontario in 1953 Filsinger's was one of the original six organic farms in all of Canada. Growing apples without the use of chemical herbicides or pesticides, some of the trees planted during the farms inception still produce the fruit that goes into Filsinger's line of sweet cider, cider vinegar, apple butter and apple sauce. All products are crafted on the farm in small batches without the use of preservatives or additives to cut down on transportation and reduce the farms carbon footprint.
