Kerr Street Cafe opened in 2010 and is a joint venture between Alex Flye, owner of Flye Catering, and Shaun Waitzer, owner of Brothers Coffee Roasters. The cafe is a relaxing environment for people to enjoy freshly prepared food and damn fine coffee, and is a bricks and mortar location for Flye Catering. Alex has catered parties from Toronto to Muskoka for more than 20 years. She also worked in California where the lifestyle and cafe culture inspired her. Shaun is a coffee roaster and previously ran multiple cafes in his native New Zealand. When not sharing his love of coffee you will often see Shaun surfing the icy waters of Lake Ontario. The success of the cafe lies in the passion and attention to detail, such as the friendly baristas who have poured espresso in cafes around the world.From rolling pastry on cold marble to raising chickens, the creative kitchen staff have a wide variety of skills, even yoga – bringing a sense of calm to the kitchen.
