The Burlington Civic Rose Awards program recognizes those residents who, by landscaping and maintaining their property have contributed to a more attractive neighborhood and community. The program is run by volunteers and supported by donations from civic-minded corporations, individuals and organizations. Judging takes place during the middle of July. Judges make their assessments based on the following:”¯design, horticultural aspects, maintenance and general “¯overall “¯appearance. The residents with the best gardens across the city will receive a certificate and a plaque commemorating their achievement. There are area winners, a zone winner for each zone, and seven top garden awards.
