Burlington women can help make a change in their community with grassroots philanthropy group 100 Women Who Care. New to Burlington, each hour-long quarterly meeting asks members to make a monetary commitment of $100 and discuss which of the nominated registered charities they would like the funds to support, with those funds directly targeting services, supplies and other needs that cannot be otherwise funded. Each selected charity could receive a potential investment of $10,000 from the group. At each subsequent meeting, members will receive a report confirming that the funds provided were used exactly as approved, as well as notification of forthcoming tax receipts.
