This summer Golf Canada and Landmark Sport Group, Inc. will be launching the inaugural RBC Canadian Open 5K. The walk/run will take place along the grounds of Glen Abbey Golf Club, the host venue to the 2016 RBC Canadian Open providing a unique opportunity to both running and golf enthusiasts alike. Open to the general public, the event will take place on Saturday, July 26 beginning near the first tee of the championship and finishing alongside the iconic and picturesque 18th green. “Health and wellness along with physical fitness align with golf's impact on a healthy and active lifestyle and organizing a run brings those elements together,” said RBC Canadian Open Tournament Director Brent McLaughlin. Participants will be invited to watch the live third-round coverage of The British Open Championship both on the big screens located along the race route and within the Molson Canadian 67 Beer Gardens where participants can relax and cool down post run. All participants in the race will also receive a free “any-day” ticket to the 2016 RBC Canadian Open. Early bird registration begins at $60, go online to register.
