The Shaw Festival returns for its 56th year with new Artistic Director Tim Carroll at the helm. This year Shaw will include 11 productions to delight and entertain all types of audiences with productions including Dracula, 1837: The Farmers' Revolt, Me & My Girl, Middletown, 1979, An Octoroon, Dancing at Lughnasa, The Madness of George III and Oscar Wilde's Wilde Tales. Along with these productions will be Androcles and The Lion and Saint Joan, both of which were written by Bernard Shaw. “Whether joining us for one of our post-show chats, discussing a play over a glass of local wine or participating in one of the performances, we want to inspire our audiences to engage with the Festival long after the curtain goes down,” says Carroll. The Shaw Festival officially opens in May with preview shows beginning in April. Go online for full schedules or to purchase tickets.
