Proudly Canadian, this independently-owned family business was first established in 1951 under the Markio Designs family, but began decades earlier when founder Louis Markowitz began selling shoes door-to-door as a teenager in Kensington Market. Today, Davids imports more than 50 brands from around the world including Manolo Blahnik, Rene Caovilla, Valentino, Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin. “We think of Davids as a showroom of the finest, most beautiful footwear in the world,” says president and CEO David Markowitz. “Every season our family personally selects the best shoes and accessories from the industry's top designers
